Allyson Cates, AMFT/APCC
STARTING SOON: Sometimes, no matter how well meaning, our friends and that great TikToker just aren’t enough. Join us for a therapy group focused on supporting young women (18-24) process through the grief, disappointment, pain, and confusion you may feel when heartbroken from love. In group, you can share and relate to others who have similar experiences and challenges.
Life as a college student can be so stressful and demanding. You have so many roles that you are expected to show up in and be perfect. Classes, family, friends, choosing a career, creating a network... It can feel overwhelming and like you don't know where to start or even what to do.
As your therapist, I'll bring a warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental demeanor into session to help you navigate through all of these thoughts, feelings, and expectations. We'll ground our work in building compassion and forgiveness for yourself and others while working through steps to manage these expectations and responsibilities.
It can be so overwhelming when you are carrying the weight of confusion, guilt, and shame. I'll hold space for you to explore the different aspects of yourself to figure out what matters most to you without judgment and shame. While you're building up a sense of compassion, I'll hold the space and compassion for you.
Check out my upcoming group for young women who have who have had one too many situationships and bad relationships. You’ve had your heart broken and are wanting to put the pieces back together, but need help figuring out how to do this along the way. https://empsychotherapy.net/services/groups/group-interest-form/
