Julie Colatrella
Accepting Clients! - Hi, I'm Julie, a queer mental health professional with over a decade of experience working with adolescents and young adults! I have endured my own journeys with anxiety and depression, and I am passionate about helping others through similar struggles.
I specialize in therapy for teens and young adults (age 14-30) who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions (such as adjusting to life during or after college), life-stress, LGBTQ+-related topics, and trying to achieve greater self-understanding.
I believe EVERYONE can benefit from therapy, regardless of diagnosis, and provide a safe space for clients to explore whatever it is that is troubling them.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I am dedicated to promoting diversity and creating a safe space for people of all backgrounds where YOU are the expert on your own individual experiences. Together, you and I will set goals, consider tools, and delve into the self-understanding necessary to help you achieve your desired outcomes.
I integrate techniques from Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients navigate various life experiences and challenges. I operate from a feminist lens which considers both the individual struggle and the larger societal context in which it occurs. I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, mental health treatment centers, and nonprofit organizations.
If you are seeking therapy, please email me for a FREE 15-minute consultation! I am currently accepting clients for weekday evenings!
