If you’re struggling to navigate current relationships, find ways to heal from past trauma, develop meaning and purpose in life, or cope with what life throws at you, I’m here to be a companion in your journey. I am an emotion-focused and trauma-informed therapist for individuals ages 10 and up, with clinical experience in a wide depth of reasons one might seek out therapy, including relational trauma, depression, anxiety, identity issues, self-esteem, emerging adulthood, psychosis, attachment, self-harm, life transitions, parenting support, and more. I know there can often be mixed feelings when starting therapy, and I see your courage. I look forward to meeting you where you’re at, getting to know you, and witnessing your growth in our work together. Please reach out today to take the next step on your healing path. I believe that you are the expert in your own life and growth is always possible, which is why I’m passionate about being an active partner who helps you step into your most authentic self. I attune my intervention approaches to your specific needs while most often utilizing existential, attachment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and strength-based approaches to achieve your goals for growth and work toward your most fulfilling life. If seeking couples therapy, I utilize Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approaches most often. If seeking therapy for your child, I have a background in play therapy, including attachment play therapy approaches. Working together, you can expect a warm, wholistic, curious, and collaborative environment as we collaborate to manage the challenging parts of life. I bring my compassion and authenticity each day to help guide you through your own healing journey. When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m often out in nature, whether that’s on a photography hike, camping, or learning snowboarding. I also enjoy recharging through quality time with loved ones, board game nights, or maybe planning my next national park getaway!
My approach to mental health care is supportive, inclusive, and focused on helping you feel empowered in your own healing process. I believe in working with you—making sure you feel heard, respected, and part of every decision about your care. I primarily treat students experiencing ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder/mood disorders, and sleep issues.
Welcome! Thank you for being here! You may be finding that being a student is one of the most stressful periods of your life. I will be here to listen and provide practical tools and strategies for managing anxiety, stress, trauma, or any other challenge in your life. In addition, I want your experience with counseling to be positive and focused on your goals. I look forward to working with you.
Amanda’s career began working as a psychiatric nurse on the inpatient unit at Denver Health. While at Denver Health she worked with children, adolescents and adults who were in acute crisis, needing assistance with emotional and behavioral needs. In addition, Amanda has worked in home health, providing psychiatric care in the patient’s home which allowed for a smooth transition from the hospital. Amanda provides integrative care, working with the patient’s health care provider and therapist. She believes in a holistic treatment approach to provide optimal health and overall wellness, and she practices evidence-based treatment. Amanda believes medication plays an important role in wellness and mental health. Her treatment goals include providing improved quality of life and she is eager to work with patients who are motivated to make personal changes. “It is important to me to develop a therapeutic relationship with my patients to provide the best care. I respect and encourage my patients to be involved in their treatment as I feel this provides the best outcome for the patient. Being a mom, I understand the importance of working with not just the patient, but also with the family to provide the best care. I enjoy working in the out-patient setting, for it allows me to see long-term improvements in wellness and mental health”
Reaching out for psychiatric care can be difficult. You may be concerned about being judged, unsure about medication, or discouraged by previous treatment experiences. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe care should be built on trust, honesty, respect, and collaboration. My role is to listen without judgment, explain your options clearly, and make sure you have a meaningful voice in treatment. I work with people of all backgrounds, including adolescents, adults, veterans, military-connected individuals, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Many patients come to me because they want to better understand what they’re experiencing and find a treatment plan that feels manageable. These struggles may result in feeling constantly on guard, depressed, hopeless, unmotivated, or unable to concentrate – with symptoms that often affect sleep, relationships, school, work, and day-to-day functioning. Other psychiatric conditions include PTSD, mood disorders, and ADHD. No matter what you’re facing, my aim is to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, honesty, respect, and collaboration to better help you improve sleep, focus, emotional stability, relationships, motivation, and overall quality of life. My work as a psychiatric clinician centers on evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, supportive therapy, treatment planning, and patient education, all guided by a collaborative, patient-centered approach built on shared decision-making. Rather than simply prescribing a path forward, I take time to listen and explain treatment options clearly, so you understand the potential benefits and risks of each one before deciding together what makes sense. From there, your treatment plan is built around your specific symptoms, goals, preferences, and past response to care. That same collaborative spirit shapes what it feels like to work with me day to day. My style is calm, conversational, and grounded in a supportive, respectful environment where you're never just receiving instructions. Through medication management, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing, and education, I help you better understand what you're experiencing and take an active role in your own treatment. As your goals and experiences evolve, so does your plan, since care here is never meant to be static. My approach to mental health care has been shaped by 25 years of experience as an Army combat medic, critical care nurse, and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. These roles gave me firsthand insight into trauma, crisis, resilience, and the effects of high-stress environments on individuals and families. I also hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, a Master of Business Administration, and the Healthcare Ethics Consultant-Certified credential. This combination of clinical, leadership, and healthcare ethics training strengthens my commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based treatments that respect each patient's values, autonomy, and individual circumstances. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our four children. Our family is actively involved in Scouting America, which gives us opportunities to serve our community, spend time outdoors, and learn new skills together. I also enjoy fishing, camping, kayaking, gaming, reading, and woodworking.
My therapeutic emphasis is focused on creating a collaborative, open, safe, judgment-free, warm, and empathetic environment for clients. As we navigated through one of the most challenging years of a pandemic, I understand that you may feel as if there is a weight holding you down in life. If you’re looking for help improving your everyday life – or for a more tailored therapy experience – I believe you would be a great fit. I believe we all have an inner resilience toward life's challenges and sorrows, and by rediscovering that resilience, we can find new meaning and joy in our lives. Coronavirus has created a significant You are not alone. You are strong and together we will get through this. If you are seeking help identifying, utilizing and processing your emotions, I encourage you to contact me today. Together, we’ll work on increasing awareness of emotions, separating useful from hurtful emotions and using healthy emotions to guide action.

We believe that everyone is inherently driven to heal and become the fullest version of themselves. By providing children, adolescents and young adults with support and unconditional acceptance, we allow them to become the leaders of their own healing journey. Play therapy for adults?! It may sound quirky, but the essential values of play therapy (connection, emotional expression, facing your challenges with unconditional support) lend themselves beautifully to anyone’s healing process, no matter your age. Young adulthood is a time of tremendous change and transition, but that doesn’t mean you have to sort through all of those challenges on your own. Therapeutic support can be immensely helpful as you really discover who you are, what you want, and how you want to be in the world. If you are interested in learning more about our services, for you or for your child, please feel free to reach out to us! We are happy to offer you a free 30-min consultation to answer any questions you may have.
Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming, but with the right one by your side, true healing can begin. As a clinical social worker specializing in individual psychotherapy, my goal is to make that process feel a little less daunting by offering a collaborative, supportive space where you can show up as you are. My work centers on older adolescents and adults navigating mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression, as well as those moving through life transitions, grief, loss, or anticipated loss. As a queer clinician, providing identity-affirming care is also central to my practice, particularly for those exploring sexuality and gender, or who face systemic barriers to self-expression and self-actualization. If you choose to work together and the connection feels right, I'm confident we can do meaningful work. My approach is strengths-based, relational, and grounded in a person-in-environment perspective, which means I consider you within the greater context of your life, your relationships, and the systems that shape your daily experience. All of my work is rooted in a social justice framework, and a deep belief in every person's inherent dignity and worth. Together, we'll explore the events and relationships — both past and present — that inform how you move through the world, building deeper self-understanding and self-compassion along the way. You can expect a warm, accepting, and responsive environment where the therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs and preferences. That often means blending meaningful self-reflection with a growing toolkit of practical skills and techniques you can carry with you outside of our sessions. Before becoming a therapist, nearly a decade was spent working as a professional musician, an experience that instilled a deep appreciation for the courage and vulnerability that authentic self-expression requires. Sitting with our emotions, sharing them, and exploring them can feel scary, but it can also be genuinely beautiful, opening doors to connection and self-discovery that might otherwise stay closed. At my core, connecting with people has always been what drives me. That's why authentic curiosity, empathy, and an open mind are things I bring to every interaction. My education, lived experiences, and professional background all converge in service of one goal: creating a space where you can work toward better understanding yourself and expressing who you truly are. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me singing, traveling, or cooking and baking for the people I love. Shared meals with friends and family are something I treasure deeply, as are deep belly laughs and adventures with my husband and our dog, Bagel.
Our clinicians have immense compassion for the circumstances that lead one to seek out therapy. We hold therapy as a safe, non-judgmental space dedicated to your healing and growth. Through this work we may explore where you feel stuck and how to get unstuck, come to understand the multifaceted parts that make up your identity, what it means to be in relationship with yourself and those around you, how to be authentically yourself, and ultimately create deeper, more meaningful relationships and experiences.
Finding the right fit in therapy is an important first step, so please take a few minutes to learn more about us and how we work. Beginning therapy—or starting with a new therapist—can feel vulnerable and daunting. As a Licensed Social Worker (LSW), I create a space that feels welcoming, non-judgmental, and safe to support adults who are ready to improve their well-being and navigate life’s transitions with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. My specialties include perinatal mental health and women’s mental health across the lifespan, along with mood and anxiety disorders, stress management, attachment disorders, and more. When working together, you are assured a warm and non-pathologizing approach to care that is grounded in humility and respect for the courage it takes to share your story. I welcome the opportunity to connect for a brief consultation, bringing skill and compassion to your journey no matter where you’re at along the path. I believe each person is the expert in their own life. Therapy is, therefore, a collaborative process, where I listen deeply and work with you to clarify your goals and move toward healing and greater well-being at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we attend not only to areas of pain, but also to your strengths, values, and passions. My approach is warm, person-centered, and strengths-based, drawing flexibly from a range of evidence-based modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. In addition, I am trained in the Gottman Method (Level 1) and use Gottman techniques in my work with couples. As a clinician with lived experience as a mother and more than ten years of experience as an educator, I bring a deep understanding of family systems, child development, and the realities of parenting. This background allows me to support mothers and families with both compassion and practical insight. When I’m not in the office, I love reading, spending time in nature, taking in all kinds of art, and having adventures with my family.
College is like a pressure cooker of compounding transitions. On top of demanding coursework, you are likely navigating the intense world of identity exploration. This can mean a lot of things; from the deeply personal layers of discovering your sexual orientation and gender identity, to simply figuring out who you are as an individual and what you actually want out of romantic and sexual relationships. As a queer therapist, I intimately understand the unique difficulties of navigating these shifts. I have walked this path myself, personally navigating profound changes in my own sexual orientation and gender identity, and I know how isolating it can feel to explore these core parts of yourself while trying to maintain your GPA. It is incredibly common to feel stuck in a major or career track that feels entirely wrong, paralyzed by the fear of starting over. I know that panic firsthand. I spent years working as a software developer before a season of deep introspection and counseling gave me the courage to make a massive pivot. Today, I am in a field I love deeply; one that brings me genuine passion far beyond a paycheck. If you are feeling misaligned with your current path, I offer specialized career counseling to help you cut through the external expectations, decode your true strengths, and confidently identify a professional field that actually fits your authentic self. Whether you are drowning in academic stress, untangling painful relationship patterns, processing trauma, or facing a complete directional pivot, you do not have to figure it out alone. Together, we will address the practical mechanics of stress management while diving deep into the relational dynamics that keep you stuck. I provide an encouraging, explicitly inclusive, and safe space where no topic is too messy or taboo. Your college years can feel incredibly destabilizing, but our work together will help you build the self-trust and clarity needed to step out of survival mode and into a life that is genuinely, authentically your own.
I'm so glad you're here. I specialize in counseling teen girls & young women who are struggling with the impact of past trauma(emotional, sexual, physical, relational, spiritual, etc), symptoms of anxiety, depression, major life changes, low self-worth, and challenging relationships. I am passionate about supporting young women as they grow toward a deeper understanding of themselves, their experiences, and their relationships, helping them grow in confidence and to embrace more fully who they were made to be. I help individuals better manage stress, more clearly understand and navigate their emotions, set healthier boundaries, calm their inner critic, build resilience, and strengthen relationships. I have been supporting adolescents, adults, & families in the mental health field for 20+ years and have advanced training in trauma-focused treatment strategies, including EMDR (in training) and Brainspotting. I also integrate ISF-informed and parts work and somatic interventions. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, self-doubting, or struggling with people-pleasing, perfectionism, boundaries, or relationships, I’m here to walk alongside you. You were made to live whole and free with authentic confidence, peace, and joy. If you’re ready to start your journey, I’d be honored to support you!
Hi! I'm Allison. I'm here to help you with the stress, overwhelm, and anxiety you're feeling as you try to lead the life you want. If you're tired of being REALLY hard on yourself and you want to start letting go of that and be more content with who you are, reach out. I'm anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergence affirming, and I'm ready to support you. I see clients in person near I25 and Colorado in Denver or by telehealth. My goal is to meet you where you are and understand what you want to work on – you’re the expert on your life but I can help you see it differently and make the changes you want. That might include coping strategies, looking at your needs, strengths, and values, using brain/body techniques like Brainspotting to release uncomfortable emotions, and more. I always start with the relationship because you can’t work with someone you don’t trust. I am calm, focused, and empathetic, and I still have a sense of humor. I’m always authentic (and I’m not always the textbook therapist) and I give you the space to be the real you. I’ll see you, I’ll accept you, and I’ll have your back as you make the changes you want. Reach out today for your free 30 minute consultation! You can call, email, or text.

30+ years of experience in the mental health field, I work with ages 12-65. I have special discounts for college students with an active ID. Depressed? Anxious? Ready to work on yourself? Or feeling like you need something but not sure what? I am here with a holistic practice to help you get where you want to be!
Hi! I’m Megan. I remember college being a lot of things - fun, exciting, but also hard and lonely at times. It took time to adjust to living more independently and learning how to live with others, balance classes, work/career choices, friendships and relationships. It can be a lot to navigate… on top of everything else you may have going on! I support clients who are going through, or are adjusting to a life transition. Maybe you find yourself struggling to thrive in your relationships (with family, friends, or romantic relationships). Perhaps you're experiencing symptoms of anxiety or perfectionism, or balancing your expectations with reality. You may be in a position of feeling "stuck" without a clear idea of how to move forward. In the therapy setting, I value getting to know you and the experiences, people, and systems that have contributed to your life and how you experience the world. College is a great time to learn more about yourself and I’m here to help you cope and move from feeling stuck to thriving! I’d be delighted to be a witness to your life story and support you from a place of openness and compassion. I invite you to reach out by phone or email so we can chat more about how I can best support you!
Hi, I’m Katrina Bassett, a therapist dedicated to helping college students navigate the pressures of school life, mental health challenges, and personal growth. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, trauma, or adjusting to major life transitions, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can process and heal at your own pace. Using evidence-based techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I aim to help you build resilience, manage overwhelming emotions, and find a sense of balance in your life. College can be tough, but you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to help you thrive, not just survive, and work together to set the foundation for long-term mental wellness.
