Ethical counseling is non-pathological and radically accepting. Together we can create what therapy looks like for you; time to pour into yourself and explore what could be. Are you feeling strangely absent from your own experience, as though you're moving through life on autopilot? I work with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected from themselves and others, or uncertain about the life they want to be living. Let's slow things down and take a look at what keeps you stuck, noticing what’s been happening on repeat and what shifts when you begin to respond differently. This work is about making more space for presence, connection, and intentional living. Your body holds the wisdom for healing, and my role is to support you in reconnecting with your innate capacity. Together, we expand your capacity to feel, access inner resources, and experience greater ease and connection. We work with what’s happening in your body in real time, supporting embodied shifts that align with who you are now. If this resonates, it often means something has been running in the background for a while without much space to look at it directly. Let's begin to bring that into view together. Reach out for a complimentary phone consultation to explore if working together feels like the right next step. I am currently working under the direction of Dr. Sophia Aguirre and supervision of Carrie Gensler, LPC, CPCS in pursuit of advanced licensure as an LPC. I am currently in the first year of a three-year Somatic Experiencing® (SE) training program and integrate SE principles into my work.

I strive to meet my clients where they are while providing them with the support and skills needed to get to where they want to be. College can be a difficult and potentially isolating time. The process of starting or reentering counseling can be overwhelming but a brave step towards improving your wellness. I honor that step by committing myself to meet you where you are, sit with you in whatever emotion arises, and offer you a safe and relaxed environment to discuss your concerns. As your therapist, I will work with you to collaboratively create a road map to greater health using our alliance and therapeutic tools along the way. We will work together to identify your goals, beliefs, and assets; process life stress; and empower your life for greater wellness, however you define this. I offer Cognitive-Behavioral, Mindfulness, Exposure (ERP), Strength-Based and Person-Centered services for adults and young adults, addressing symptoms of anxiety, OCD, stress, life transitions, relationships, and ADHD. Through my Masters and Doctoral work as well as my background teaching and supervising Master's level clinicians, I have created a therapeutic approach that is not only centered around YOU, the client, but incorporates practices that are backed by scientific evidence. It is my greatest desire to use what I know to see you grow and live the life you want.

My goal is to provide a safe, understanding, and uplifting environment for my clients. Through a client-centered approach that prioritizes your personal goals, I will support you in your journey. I believe that true change necessitates a deep understanding of who you are, and I will work closely and supportively with you to create a dynamic and empathetic therapeutic environment. Are you feeling overwhelmed? anxious? depressed? Is your mind racing and your body tense? Wonder why you can't just feel happy? Therapy looks a lot like a conversation with a good friend. But the gift is that it's a one-way friendship where it's all about you! You get to talk about whatever you want and need to say. I get to listen carefully, reflect what I hear to make sure you feel understood, affirm and encourage your strengths, and ask questions to clarify or help you think more deeply about your concerns. I have significant experience working with anxiety, depression, interpersonal concerns, and wellness goals. I believe that you are the expert on you, but we all need help to move through this life. I can offer you support, encouragement, an outside perspective, and space to explore. While life presents challenges, I believe that you are fundamentally strong and resilient. I'd love to partner with you on your journey. Please reach out and let's see if we'd be a good fit together.
I support undergraduate and graduate students who feel stuck and are looking to build a life that feels more meaningful, intentional, and authentic. The college years are full of immense pressure and profound changes, and it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed by it all. Many of the students I work with are trying to navigate anxiety, depression, men’s issues, or ADHD in a high-stakes academic environment. Others are dealing with existential distress - asking big questions about their major, their future, and who they are - or trying to manage the massive life transition of living away from home. Sometimes, the coping mechanisms that got you through high school, including maladaptive ones like avoidance or substance use, just aren't as helpful anymore. My approach to therapy is relational and humanistic. While I use evidence-based techniques, I believe the relationship we build is the most important part of the work. I look beyond clinical labels to understand your unique experience. Think of me as a partner on your journey rather than an observer analyzing you from afar. If you’re feeling weighed down, it’s okay if you don't know exactly what to say. You don’t need a perfectly clear story to start therapy. Reach out to see if we’d work well together. If we aren't the right match, I will gladly help connect you with someone else.
We specialize in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT). DBT is an Evidenced-based therapy to treat severe anxiety, emotional dysregulation and facilitate healthier relationships. Group and individual therapy are provided via Online Therapy (zoom).
Under directed experience and clinical supervision Do you sometimes feel disconnected from the people you care about, even when you want closeness? Are old patterns or coping strategies getting in the way of the relationships or life you are trying to build? I believe we are all wired for belonging, connection, and intimacy. When life experiences disrupt those instincts, it can leave us feeling guarded, uncertain, or stuck repeating habits that numb pain but create new problems. I work with teens, adults, and couples who want to rebuild trust in themselves and their relationships, especially when issues like addiction, trauma, or communication breakdowns have gotten in the way. I also have a strong passion for supporting men as they navigate identity, emotional expression, and connection in a world that often discourages vulnerability. In therapy, my role is to help make what feels unclear more understandable. I listen deeply, bring steady nonjudgmental presence, and help you look at both your strengths and your struggles without shame. While change is collaborative, I will walk alongside you with direct guidance, practical tools, and reflection that supports sustainable growth. My approach blends humanistic and person-centered foundations with CBT, DBT, narrative, and Gestalt techniques. Together, we can explore the stories and patterns that have shaped your relationships, process grief or trauma that may still weigh heavy, and build real-world skills for emotional regulation, confidence, and connection. Whether you are coping with depression, anxiety, addiction or substance use, relationship stress, or significant transitions, we will create a path forward that feels meaningful and achievable. It’s an honor to support people as they uncover more clarity, balance, and resilience. I offer a grounded, respectful space where you can reconnect with what matters most and take steps toward living and loving with more freedom and less fear. If you’re ready to explore whether we could be a good fit, I invite you to reach out for a free consultation.

I work with undergraduate and graduate students who are struggling with a variety of mental health, substance use, and existential problems. My patients are often looking to reduce their suffering and increase their sense of meaning and purpose in life. I especially enjoy working with people who are interested in a deeper self-understanding and working together to uncover the feelings, narratives, conflicts, and motivations that may be ruling their lives but outside of their awareness. My first priority when working with new patients is to establish trust and help create a relationship that is safe and honest. Within the context of this secure relationship, my patients are able to better understand their self-limiting or self-defeating patterns, mourn life's losses, and establish or reestablish a life that is organized around the values that matter most to them. My hope is that my patients will develop a reliable self-esteem, improve their ability to be in relationship with self and others, and live life with less reactivity and more flexibility. I received an MSW degree from the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work before gaining clinical experience in diverse settings all along the addiction medicine levels of care. I opened a private practice in 2023 and currently provide services to adolescents, adults, families, and organizations.
