When is the last time you intentionally gave yourself (or others) grace? No really… when was the last time? Life comes at us quick and if we’re not careful, we’ll find ourselves struggling with unforgiveness, anger, self-doubt and more; because we allowed the battles we face to win. The truth is, they don’t have to win. We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can learn to control how we respond. We can make the necessary changes to show up in this world in a way that brings us joy and fulfillment. Living Intentionally to Transform (LITT) was created to provide a safe space for YOU to process through life’s troubles. I specialize in working with adolescents, athletes, college students and adults. When serving clients, my approach is simple… come as you are! I strive to always provide a space for clients to just, be. No pressure to act, talk or show up in a certain way. You can expect to be met with respect and understanding at all times and for me to be fully, me. For those who are Christians, you will also find a place to grow in your faith. When seeking a provider, most people desire someone with similar beliefs and/or morals. It’s also important for many to be able to feel a sense of connectivity with the person they are trusting for services. Well, let me share a little about myself. I am a PROUD HBCU graduate from theeeeee Winston Salem State University. I am also a graduate of Georgia State University where I received my Masters in Social Work. Most would describe me as laid back, transparent and silly. My clients would likely say that I’m one that will “keep it real” but also share a good laugh with you when needed. I will challenge you but also support you. I love time with family and have a special place in my heart for athletes as I am a previous athlete and coach myself. Did I mention I love cheesecake? Alright, alright.. enough about me… are you ready? Potential presenting issues/specialties: - stress - athletics/ sports performance - social life - peer relationships - family relationships - intimate relationships / Couples - anxiety - childhood traumas - life adjustments or changes - balance - spirituality/religion - time management - self doubt This list is not exhaustive of the reasons one may seek therapy. My waitlist is open, please email me! In a safe and non-judgmental environment, I utilize art therapy to help you process emotions and challenging life experiences. No experience in art is necessary to benefit, you only need the willingness to express yourself and engage in the creative process. I use art therapy in counseling with those who are seeking to process anxiety, stress, trauma and more. As your therapist, I will work with you to ensure that you feel safe and validated while we build the therapeutic relationship and process challenges with art therapy. Not into art? Not to worry, I also offer traditional talk therapy! Art therapy is a powerful mind-body therapeutic process. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and understood. I specialize in working with eating disorders of all kinds—from anorexia to ARFID and everything in between. Alongside this, I also support individuals navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and OCD. Together, we’ll work to gently untangle these challenges with curiosity, compassion, and care. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), in which I hold a Level 2 certification through Behavioral Tech. These tools can help with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and building a more balanced, meaningful life. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing is possible. You don’t have to go through it alone. Whether you’re seeking relief from anxiety, freedom from rigid patterns, or a healthier relationship with food and yourself, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this process.

People who never felt "just like everyone else" or dealt with a lot of negative self talk are those who I love supporting most. I am an art therapist, as well as a licensed professional counselor, and that means we have a lot of options in our tool box to find what works best for you. What is most important to me is making sure you feel heard, comfortable, and safe (and maybe even laugh once or twice)! I specialize in adolescents as well as young adults/college age clients as they continue to navigate "growing up". Sometimes sessions may be 100% talk therapy, sometimes 100% art/music interventions, and often some mix of both- it is totally up to what you are most comfortable with.
I am passionate about helping young adults process their identity and emotions during life transitions and as they come into who they are. Clients leaving high school, graduating college, entering marriage or their first jobs often find that they are reevaluating what their values are and how their early childhood experiences have affected them. I enjoy working with clients as they walk through these parts of their story and come to understand themselves better.

I am an avid believer in counseling for everyone. I first went to counseling when I was in college and it was during that time that I realized the importance and impact it had in my own life. I believe in the connection between physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health and investing in the connection between all four. My heart as a counselor is to create a safe and caring environment for my clients where they feel accepted and can begin healing. In creating that environment, I hope to build a relationship where my clients feel supported and that we collaborate in their healing journey. I believe that the experiences and relationships in childhood and adolescence have a profound impact on our lives as adults including our thoughts, emotions, values, identity, and worldview. As a Christian I believe in the inherent worth of each individual and believe that faith aids in healing. However I also understand and respect each individual's spiritual and faith identity and will honor where you are on your journey. I also recognize the pain that faith and religion can cause in an individual's life and have a desire to work with those struggling with the faith community.

I am a Millennial therapist providing virtual sessions who loves to help people achieve a more balanced life. Together, we will explore concerns you may have such as low self-confidence, unhealthy boundaries, stress and anxiety, difficulty completing tasks, career exploration, work/life balance, depression, relationship issues, or even if you just need a listening ear. I aim to create a comforting space that allows you to dive deep to the root causes of your concerns. I currently work with Renewed Journey Counseling Services LLC and am under the supervision of Msichana McDole. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed and disconnected. Perhaps your relationship is stuck in a negative cycle and you can't find the way out. Maybe you are going through a difficult transition and could use support. At some point we all need help dealing with the changes, or lack of change in our lives. Therapy can be a wonderful place to work out how to take the next steps and find relief. As a liberation focused therapist, I understand the impact oppressive structures have on our mental health. I work with adult individuals and people in relationships to help them reduce the effects of harm, and find joy and calm in their relationships and community. Currently, I provide in-person care anr my Smyrna office and teletherapy for folks throughout Georgia, with a "Walk and Talk" outdoor option as well. About me: I am direct and warm, with a touch of New Jersey sarcasm. I love belting musical numbers and appreciate art in all its forms. I am a white, Queer, diasporic Jew and mama of two; a spouse, sister, daughter and auntie in a multiracial and multifaith family. I have had the honor to walk alongside folks on their career and mental health journeys in both the college setting and the greater community. I love the work I do both in the therapy room and as an activist and would be excited to be a part of your support network.

Change can be difficult to handle, but let's do it together. Creating a safe, nonjudgmental free zone is my priority for therapy with clients. My ideal client is motivated for therapy, enthusiastic about the process and receptive to feedback. I enjoy working with young adult African-American females going through transitional phases within their life. Maybe she is finding her place in the world, experiencing challenges that may be unexplained, dealing with emotional/physical abuse by a loved one or caregiver, wanting to get in touch with who she is or finding ways to cope with the difficulties of discrimination and systematic racism. Teenagers who are seeking to find their identity, experiencing bullying in school or difficult family dynamics are also a target population I am passionate about. I have the skills to work with young black youth and black families. I understand how the impacts of the justice system, systematic racism and psychological generational trauma effects black individuals and the black culture. know what it means to be a Black female in America and the challenges it presents as a minority. I view therapy as a mutual effort relationship. In order to grow one, must be willingly to take the risk of identifying their strengths and weaknesses and putting in the work. I believe in having active listening skills, validating my client’s feelings and being direct and honest about subjects that can be difficult to process. We all have experiences, feelings and behaviors that cannot always be explained. However, it is what we overcome that makes us resilient. I use many therapeutic modalities which includes, a holistic approach. My target populations are young women/men of minority ethnic groups or identify with the LGBTQ community. I believe that people are unique and exist within a complex system. Together we can collaborate to establish goals for therapy to fit your needs. I commend you for being brave in taking the first step towards a life change, now it's time to walk the journey.
