Hi everyone, my name is Emma Hickey and I am a recent graduate from Kennesaw State University's Master of Social Work program. My practice utilizes a client centered approach which focuses on and emphasizes client’s individual strengths and empowers clients to decide what is best for them. I help clients learn to integrate Cognitive Behavioral techniques to help identify the connection of thought, behavior, and emotion. I focus on interpersonal relationships and self-talk via storytelling. I incorporate narrative therapy techniques to empower clients to become the authors of their own stories. Additionally, I help clients learn and incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills to provide in the moment relief to intense emotions.
I enjoy helping teenagers preparing for or adjusting to college. College can be a difficult transition. It brings with it a newfound independence, which can be overwhelming or intimidating. By helping students explore their identity and become more confident in themselves, I help them navigate this challenging time in order to experience all the excitement and rewards that college can bring. Additionally, if you struggle with perfectionism and self-criticism, I’m the kind of therapist who can help you learn to love and accept yourself, as you are, and be okay with asking for help when you need it!

Melissa completed her practicum and internship at Ray of Hope, providing play therapy for children and individual and couples counseling for adults. She has worked with individuals to address mood and anxiety disorders, grief, and relationship issues. In addition to private practice, she has provided therapy in a university counseling center and at an outpatient recovery center for opioid addiction. Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 11 years of experience in outpatient mental health, crisis response, and program management. I specialize in providing individual, group, couples, and family counseling, integrating evidence-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered approaches. I have extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams, conducting comprehensive assessments, and coordinating care across community and clinical settings. Recognized for improving client outcomes and building strong partnerships, I am committed to expanding access to quality mental health services and supporting diverse populations with compassion and expertise. In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a foundation of trust. I’ll ask questions to learn about your concerns, history, and goals for therapy, and I’ll also give you space to share what feels most important to you. Together, we’ll begin to create a plan that feels manageable and tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the path ahead. One of my greatest strengths is my integrative approach—I draw from evidence-based methods like CBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness while tailoring each session to fit the unique needs of my clients. I’m skilled at creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel truly heard and understood, while also helping them develop practical tools they can use in daily life. Clients often share that my balance of compassion, encouragement, and direct guidance helps them make meaningful progress and lasting change.

Not unlike many within this field, my own experiences with mental health influenced my decision to become a therapist. Through my own struggles in my young life, I found a passion for hearing other people’s experiences and empowering others to identify and utilize their strengths in moments of hardship. A couple of areas I specialize in navigating are: Ideas of perfectionism Developing self-compassion Exploring one’s cultural identity Coping with and understanding feeling “not good enough" Overcoming the stress of living up to expectations (cultural, intrapersonal, societal, parental) Setting boundaries Feeling torn between two or more cultures Feelings of shame, worry, or guilt I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and I have a particular skill in working with people of color, first and second-generation immigrants, and folks new to therapy. Additionally, I deeply understand, honor, and respect the South Asian and Middle Eastern religions and cultures.

Hi! I'm Rosie (she/her). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of both Georgia and Texas. I work primarily with young adults (20s and 30s), and many of my clients are people who identify as LGBTQIA+. I have special focus in trauma processing, ADHD management, and career exploration. Throughout my social work career I have passionately advocated for racial, social and economic justice through the empowerment of individuals and groups including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, people with HIV, people experiencing homelessness, people with mental illness, people with disabilities, veterans, children and youth, and more. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist myself, I am mindful of how people’s identities factor into their experience of the world and their experience in therapy. I believe that people begin to heal the moment they feel heard. While I do incorporate interventions like CBT, EMDR, IFS, and distress tolerance, my first and foremost focus is to be unconditionally on your team and on your side. Past clients have told me that I am a natural listener and am genuine and warm in how I relate to people. When I am not obsessing over the personality psychology phenomenon known as the enneagram, I enjoy laying in the sun with a good podcast, jogging the Atlanta beltline, reading, cooking, yoga, and exploring the local food scene.
