College and young adult years can be both exciting and overwhelming. Many students and young adults find themselves managing anxiety, depression, or grief while also trying to keep up with academic demands, relationships, work, and expectations from family or themselves. Feeling stressed, burned out, unmotivated, or emotionally drained does not mean you are failing — it means you are human and navigating a lot at once. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. I work with college students, young adults, and adolescents using a client-centered, goal-oriented approach. Therapy is a collaborative process where we focus on what feels most pressing for you and develop practical strategies to help you cope more effectively with stress, emotions, and life transitions. I support individuals experiencing: * Anxiety and depression related to academic pressure, performance stress, and major life changes * Grief and loss, including losses that occur during college or early adulthood * Emotional overwhelm, burnout, difficulty with focus, and feeling “stuck” or disconnected * Relationship and family stress, especially as roles, independence, and boundaries shift * Autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and behavioral concerns in adolescents and young adults I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and stress-reduction techniques to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and gain clarity during challenging seasons. Therapy should feel supportive, nonjudgmental, and empowering. Whether this is your first time seeking counseling or you are returning to therapy, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as you work toward balance, confidence, and improved well-being.

I believe in the uniqueness of each person’s story, the innate power to overcome the darkest moments in life, and the beauty that comes from the process. In session, my intention is to build a trusting and collaborative relationship, bringing warmth, compassion, empathy, truth-telling, and hope to our time together. I utilize a holistic approach to healing, focusing on the integration of emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. It is a great privilege to walk alongside those who are willing to put in the hard and courageous work to find hope and healing. I am passionate about walking with those navigating chronic illness, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, the adjustment to parenthood, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I incorporate a variety of interventions in my sessions, including CBT, ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, mindfulness-based therapy and compassion-focused approaches, among others. I am also trained in EMDR with an attachment lens. Through the therapeutic process, my desire is for each person to experience restoration, peace, and wholeness in their lives.

“Live simply so others may simply live.” – Mahatma Gandhi I believe therapy is a relationship experience between client and counselor. I, as a counselor, am an expert in my field and my client is an expert of themselves. My approach to therapy stems from the belief that client and counselor work best together as a team, to help uncover the core beliefs and traits taught to us as children and young adults. I incorporate empathy and unconditional positive regard into each of my sessions, to work towards connection and understanding of one another and one’s self. I have experience working in both partial hospitalization program and outpatient settings. My experience stems from working with children and teens with autism, to working with adults with severe anxiety and depression. I have experience working as a mentor of juveniles, as well as a professional in the foster care system. My experience allows for me to keep an open mind when going into the therapy setting, to better understand my clients and their individual backgrounds.

*CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS* It takes strength to ask for help. Each person lives a life full of unique circumstances and challenges. I believe in partnering with my clients to help them develop their potential and find the path that is right for them. My goal is to empower clients to live their best lives. I enjoy seeing the pride my clients have when they've succeeded in reaching their goals. These goals are often hidden in everyday stressors and the challenges we face, and by exploring challenges in a safe environment, I support my clients in unlocking their goals and fulfilling them. Each person, while having unique psychology and brain chemistry, is an active participant in their environment, whether that be a school, work setting, family, or relationship. We are all influenced by others, and we all have the potential to change our lives. With this in mind, depending on individual needs, I help clients to advocate for positive change. Traditional office hours are often inconvenient. That's why I offer appointments between 8 am and 8 pm on weekdays. Please call or email, and I'll work with you to find the best time for your first appointment.

Whether you are struggling with 'adulting' or other life changes, I completely understand your need for life to be easier. Through our time together, you can begin to feel a sense of calm and get back on track to living a purposeful life. As a therapist specializing in life changes & anxiety, I am committed to helping you find more life balance and a sense of inner peace. I work with both individuals and families. With two decades of experience, you can rest easy knowing you are in capable hands. Your life is hectic and choosing a therapist can be overwhelming. I want you to receive the best possible care, which means working with the RIGHT therapist (not just some random name from a list). That’s why I offer a free call to help you decide. If I'm not a fit, I can provide you with referrals. I primarily work with young adults and other helping professionals (teachers, nurses, physicians, and other therapists) who may be struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, family problems, and/or navigating difficult life changes. My clients typically begin to experience gradual relief within 2 months of weekly sessions. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy with strategies from many effective treatment types including ACT, Brainspotting, IFS Informed Parts Work, and Motivational Interviewing. You can expect your experience to be welcoming & casual (never super stuffy or formal). I believe in honoring each person's strengths & consciously creating a space where you can feel free to be your authentic self. Walk & Talk sessions are available in Flagstaff during summer months and in Chandler in the winter. **Now partnering with Mentaya for help in submitting your out-of-network insurance claims. I work primarily with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression and diminished self-esteem. These issues manifest in many different ways and may include an inability to make decisions, difficulty maintaining relationships, low confidence, discomfort in social settings, exhaustion, fears that may seem irrational and poor view of self. I enjoy digging into these issues because they can be debilitating and it is amazing to witness the life change that can occur through therapeutic self discovery. Through the use of Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, my focus involves supporting clients in self-esteem development, anxiety reduction, mood improvement and personal growth. It is important to me that my clients truly feel heard and I strive to instill strength in every session. If you are ready to take control of your life, move past fear and doubt and really SOAR, schedule an appointment today. I am excited to join you in this journey of healing and self discovery!
