As a young adult, you often wonder what can be done to help yourself feel better. You have tried many things yet there has been little to no lasting improvement. You know that you have great potential to do great things but the way things are going, your future looks bleak. Seeking help can be scary, because you want to make sure that you have someone but feel scared about taking the risk of letting anyone in. You would feel better about yourself and your ability to handle difficult situations that arise. In order to accommodate your schedule, I offer evening and weekend appointments so you don't have to worry about missing school. Together, we'll create a customized plan to get you back on track. Reach out if you have experienced a loss or difficult transition if you are struggling to set boundaries or express your needs, if you are struggling with difficult emotions or if you just aren’t feeling like yourself. It is our goal to support you in exploring your experiences, releasing things that you may have been carrying, setting goals you want to achieve, and identifying patterns and beliefs that are creating barriers. Our role as therapists is to provide a safe, judgment-free, and confidential space for you to process vulnerable thoughts and emotions. Our approach is person-centered and focuses on building a supportive relationship while using cognitive behavioral theory as a framework. We specialize in trauma therapy and work with individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. Some of the modalities used include EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Let us help you to know and be present with yourself.
I work really well with "type A" people with anxiety - those who are pragmatic and practical and used to getting stuff done, but now are finding it harder to make decisions and get as much done as they used to. I also work well with people who are accused of being "robotic" or "without feelings." Couples have claimed to actually enjoy working with me for premarital counseling, or figuring out how to deal with their parents/siblings/friends who might not be in favor of their match. In my office I try to speak plainly and say what needs to be said - you won't feel like you need to watch your language or censor yourself in any way.
Hello, I am Jenny Kuzilla. I work from the belief that each individual has an inherent right and capacity to pursue a life worth living, yet we often experience things along the way that make this a difficult pursuit. This is the duality that exist as we traverse our lives and experiences and its the "stuff" resiliency is made of! Let our caring, empathic and down to earth nature help guide you, using your own resiliency to pursue your future intentions. We utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach to help you reach new heights for a more Resilient YOU! Get in touch today and let's start this journey together!

Melvinik Simmons was born and raised in Brownsville Brooklyn, New York. Growing up in a single parent household in the projects of Brooklyn was challenging. Where she comes from truly makes her the person she is today. "I saw everything that you can imagine, drugs, violence, even witnessing my childhood friend jump off a building". She knew at a young age people were "broken and felt helpless". Melvinik’s passion and mission is to inspire people and work with them to achieve their goals. "I am not only a therapist, but I care a great deal about my clients who I work with". "I am you and you are me" My mission is to help heal broken hearts. "I have been through a lot of what you may be going through, and I am here to tell you that healing is possible". Melvinik has been in the helping profession for over 20 years. She specializes in depression, grief/loss, anxiety and PTSD. She was a social worker for several foster care agencies, a supervisor for a crisis unit, a counselor for YMCA, and a therapist in the behavioral health department for several years at Richmond University Medical Center (N.Y) and St Luke University Health Network (P.A.). She has been in private practice (Talk Trust Heal LLC) for 4 years providing virtual therapy to clients in N.Y. P.A. and S.C. where she currently resides. She has an integrative approach combined with different styles, modalities, and methods to promote wellness. "I don't have a "one size fit's all approach" I immediately like to start where my clients are and offer a non-judgmental platform where they are able to talk in a safe environment. She is dedicated and committed to her clients and their mental health. Her motto is "Trust the therapeutic process, talk about the presenting issues and heal".

My clients come to me with a wide variety of concerns related to anxiety, depression, confusion, low self-esteem, life transitions and adjustments, impulsive behaviors (e.g., substance use, binge eating, self-harm), etc. There is no problem too big or too small, and you are brave for considering therapy. No matter what you are searching for, I believe change is possible and therapy can help. I utilize evidence-based interventions to help my clients build a life that they find more sustainable, meaningful, and enjoyable. I am skilled at helping my clients find balance by challenging them to make necessary changes while also working toward accepting the things that are unchangeable, such as our past. You don't have to know if therapy is right for you just yet, it is ok to be uncertain. I meet my clients where ever they are at in life, and I offer warmth, safety, validation, non-judgement, and a little bit of humor. Reach out and let's see if we would make a good team.

Hello. I have been in Private Practice for over 25 years. I have also worked in college counseling centers. My first task is to listen and fully understand the individuals that I work with. Then, we collaboratively identify skills and solutions to improve the situation. We heal old wounds and work through issues so that you can feel more at peace and reach your fullest potential.
You're tired of putting yourself out there and not finding your "person". You've tried multiple therapists but just can't seem to connect. And without that connection, opening up and really digging in is hard. So you remain stagnant. You want to feel safe and supported, but also want someone to finally be blunt with you about what may be holding you back--and what may actually HELP. You're tired of merely surviving--you want to FINALLY feel like you are living authentically and truly thriving. You want someone to challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone, but also make this shit a little less scary. I use humor and laughter, openness and authenticity, and most importantly, foul language, to create a safe, explorative environment where we can really dig into what has been holding you back--together. I can be direct and to the point, and sometimes a bit crass and unconventional. But I will also be your strongest advocate and biggest cheerleader. What I love most about what I do is being able to walk alongside someone who is finding their own way, and being able to witness just how resilient our spirits can be. Asking for a little help isn't a sign of failure--it's a sign of courage. And a sign of a badass who refuses to get in their own way. Reach out to see if we may be a good fit! Let's do this! Open Space CCW is a LGBTQIA+ and relationship minority affirming group practice whose mission is to help people move from merely surviving their lives, to truly thriving.
We are an Integrative Therapy Practice. Clients often face emotional, mental, and physical challenges in their lives. To better prepare them, we often incorporate a combination of traditional and emerging practices. This integrative therapy strives to promote healing by creating both a healthy mind and body. Our licensed professional counselors use this approach in helping clients manage the strong emotional and physical stressors that interfere with their relationships at home, work or school. In addition to our counseling services, some of the tools we recommend in our therapy include massage, yoga, meditation, and diet. Our clinicians provide both in-person and telehealth sessions.
It is the mission of Morris Cognitive Behavioral Consulting to meet clients where they are when they enter treatment and help them come to a place of radical acceptance of their current circumstances. Dr. Morris has an interactive, direct style that, at times, feels more like coaching than traditional psychotherapy. She focuses on enhancing a client’s motivation, as well as helping them find the balance between acceptance and change. Their goal is to locate the “gray area” between extremes in thinking, emotions, and behavior. It is these extremes, which lead to common problems in living, relationship difficulties, or severe mental and behavioral symptoms. Dr. Morris believes in doing more than helping individuals reduce troubling symptoms; she wants to help clients break free from ineffective behavioral patterns and, more importantly, truly heal. She is committed to teaching clients how to stop emotions from controlling their lives. She strives to help clients overcome barriers that keep them stuck in negative behaviors, life patterns, or relationships that hinder their ability to reach their desired goals and live fully. Dr. Morris channels her unrelenting energy, straightforward style, and radical genuineness to help shift clients into resolving these barriers and ineffective patterns. She hopes to enable clients to become more skillful in their everyday experience so they can be more effective at reaching their goals while, ultimately, creating lives worth living. Dr. Morris specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions, strength-based approaches that focus specifically on practical coping skill acquisition, which are uniquely tailored to each client's individual goals. She offers a range of evidence-based therapy, group, and consulting services to children, adolescents, adults, families, schools, and organizations.
People I work with are hurting and confused, feeling alone and anxious, acting like everything's ok when it's not, hiding a lot of themselves a lot of the time. If you want to understand and work better with how you're thinking, feeling, and acting, if you want to be more dialed in and feel more confident... I can help.
