Therapists for college students near University of Pennsylvania
There isn’t anything more important than your mental health and wellness. We exist with the sole purpose of improving yours. Sometimes being heard and having the support of a therapist can change everything.
Therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of what’s been shaping you - especially when familiar ways of coping no longer feel helpful. People often come to therapy during periods of change, relational stress, or when old patterns start to feel heavy or confusing. You don’t need to have clear answers to begin; therapy offers space to reflect, understand yourself more deeply, and decide how you want to move forward. My approach is grounded in understanding how family dynamics, culture, identity, and broader social systems shape how we see ourselves and relate to others. As a queer Palestinian- American woman, I bring lived experience and clinical training into my work and strive to offer care that is thoughtful, affirming, and nonjudgmental. In therapy, we will move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we may look back at the experiences and relationships that have shaped you, while also building clarity, self-trust, and support in the present. Sessions can be challenging at times, and I offer a steady, compassionate presence as you work toward lasting change. I invite you to reach out.

Welcome! Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and truly understood. Every person who walks into therapy is different, and I honor that. I work with teens, adults, and older adults navigating life’s challenges—whether it’s managing anxiety, coping with change, building confidence, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again. Some of my clients are high performers or athletes; others are just trying to manage daily stress, relationships, or emotional overwhelm. No matter your story, I tailor therapy to fit your unique needs—drawing from approaches like CBT and strengths-based strategies. I’m passionate about this work because I’ve seen how mental health impacts every part of life—from performance and relationships to life transitions and confidence. As a former West Chester University Division II athlete, I understand firsthand the mental load that comes with high performance, pressure, and pushing through—even when you’re not okay. That lived experience helps me support clients who are navigating high expectations, both in sport and in life. In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where I get to know you and your goals. I believe therapy works best when it’s a team effort. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what needs to shift. My style is a blend of warmth, honesty, and gentle challenge. I’ll always meet you where you are, but I’m not afraid to help you look at patterns that may be holding you back. Whether you need space to process, a sounding board for decision-making, or someone to help connect the dots—I’m here to listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback to help you make meaningful progress. If you’re ready to prioritize your well-being—whether as an individual or an athlete—I’d be honored to support you on that journey!
When we are facing life stressors, we often focus on addressing the immediate symptoms. This can be very adaptive. However, if we only ever focus on the immediate symptoms of our struggles, then we may never recognize or have the possibility of healing the cause of our pain. I believe that therapy provides a powerful space to explore, understand, and ultimately heal the root causes of our struggles. I approach my work with insight from a variety of therapeutic frameworks, including Narrative Therapy, IFS, Solution Focused Therapy, & Attachment Theory. I am also formally trained in EMDR which I can incorporate into therapy. I approach therapy with an anti-oppressive lens to assist clients dealing with the impacts of homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, and misogyny and am versed in supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, and chronic pain. I come to my work not merely as an outsider with expertise, but as a neurodivergent and transgender individual myself who has lived experience navigating many of the issues I work to help others heal from. It has been my privilege to help a wide variety of clients, and I look forward to learning how I can help you too!
Over my time in practice, I have come to learn that much of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors stem from parental figures and relationships, childhood experiences, significant life events, as well as responses to the here and now. My goal is to work collaboratively with you, to support you, and to assist you in attending to what you feel is important through the cultivation of a strength-based, empathetic, and warm environment.
My passion for this work stems from my own struggles with mental health throughout my life. I know firsthand how important it is to have the proper support. I identify with the LGBTQIA+, kink/BDSM, and poly/ENM communities, so I am familiar with the unique issues facing these marginalized communities, and also the struggle to find a safe space to express your unique self when seeking help. Whether the issues you are seeking therapy for are directly related to your identity or not, you can freely be yourself in our sessions and let your guard down. You will not have to expend the emotional labor to educate me about your identity(ies). I provide a safe space, while clarifying your goals and desired outcome for therapy. I tailor my approach to your unique needs. However you identify, I will meet you where you are at on your personal journey, and together we can work to figure out how you can live your most authentic life. Change does not happen overnight. It requires time, patience, and a willingness to be vulnerable. If you are ready to take the first step today, I would love to hear from you so we can get started! Are You Looking For A Therapist Who Will Involve Your Entire Being, Mind, Body and Soul, in Your Healing Journey? There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. With that, I utilize yoga practices to help guide you to integrate your mind and body. Unlike talk therapy, where we explore your thoughts and feelings on a topic or event, Yoga + Therapy encourages you to feel the body sensations that hold wisdom about that topic or event. Your body has an opinion, it's time to listen to it! I specialize in working with women and BIPOC - two groups I identify with and deeply care about. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and yoga teacher with specific training in trauma-informed practices. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life. If you are looking for traditional talk therapy only, I integrate meditation and mindfulness in sessions to help you further explore areas in your life. I am an Out of Network Provider (Self Pay/Private Pay). Please visit my website www.mindbodysoulcounseling.com to learn more about my practice and schedule a free 15 minute consultation call. I can't wait to work with you! There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. I emphasize the importance of being comfortable in your own body. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life.

Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice at PhilaPsy, where I offer psychotherapy for adults of all ages and specialize in working with individuals in early to middle adulthood. I have a varied practice, with people coming to therapy for a wide range of reasons. My areas of particular focus include working with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, transitions or changes in life, stress, self-esteem, identity, relationship issues, interpersonal conflict, trauma, and feeling lonely, angry, empty or stuck. Across contexts, I provide identity affirming, culturally responsive, relational care. Therapy invites people to explore, process, and make sense of their ideas, emotions, experiences, challenges, and areas of conflict. I approach this work with collaboration and curiosity, bringing focus to how our relationships, social systems, personal histories, and development inform the ways we experience ourselves, others, and the worlds we inhabit. I believe a central part of feeling helped is finding a therapist who brings hope, humor, safety, and a sense of belonging. With the right fit, therapy can provide building blocks for people to heal, find community, uncover a path for themselves, and discover ways of living in this world that feel meaningful. If you are interested in reaching out, I offer a free phone consultation to get a sense of what you are looking for, address questions, and discuss possible next steps.
