Hi! My name is Josh Foster, I have over 20 years experience in working with college students, helping them through many of the most difficult emotional barriers and roadblocks that we face. I love working with college students! A lot of the work that I do with people centers around trauma that they have experienced. As someone who has been diagnosed with PTSD as a result of trauma suffered by churches and religious people and systems, I have great empathy and understanding for people dealing with trauma. Here's some of how I approach the work I do with people: I’ll get to know you through asking questions. No one story can encapsulate all of who you are, so I’ll listen and show curiosity about you and your life. I will speak hope to you. I believe that hope is essential to keep moving forward as a human being. I also understand how hard it can be to hold onto. We’ll look for repeated themes, ideas, and connections in your stories so that we can find the problem(s) and discover the tactics and strategies that the problems are using to stay in power. We will work to separate you from the problem(s). I honestly believe that you are not the problem but that whatever problem you are struggling with (anxiety, depression, anger) is the problem. We will discover who you aspire to be and develop tools and strategies that can help you to live for longer stretches of time as the best version of yourself. We’ll work to develop tools that you can utilize in between our sessions, and truths for you to hold on to, so that you can have more hope. I’ll help you learn to pay attention to the ways that your body is trying to communicate to you. I find that the people who make the most progress usually do some reflection between sessions.

Hi! I’m Kimberly Carlin, LPC, and I work with women over 18 who want support navigating the ups and downs of life. Between work, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal growth, it’s normal to feel stressed, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to cope. I help women work through: * Anxiety, stress, and burnout * Relationship challenges and setting boundaries * Trauma or emotional abuse * Grief or major life transitions * Body image and disordered eating * Pressure to be “perfect” or meet high expectations * Life transitions such as parenting, career changes, or caregiving responsibilities Here’s what therapy with me looks like: CBT: Helps you spot unhelpful thoughts and replace them with healthier ones. ACT: Teaches you to accept feelings and focus on what matters most. Somatic Therapy: Uses your body to release stored stress, tension, and anxiety. IFS (Internal Family Systems): Helps you explore different parts of yourself and understand conflicting thoughts, emotions, or behaviors. Inner Child Work: Helps you understand how past experiences shape your feelings today. EMDR: A specialized approach that helps painful memories feel less overwhelming. Christian Counseling and Prayer (optional): For women who desire, therapy can integrate Biblical principles, prayer, and exploring God’s perspective of who you are to guide healing, self-worth, and decision-making. I provide online therapy and am licensed in multiple states, so you can continue care even if you travel, work remotely or move. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, gain clarity, and build tools to navigate life with more confidence, self-compassion, and faith-based guidance if desired. Whether you’re feeling stressed, struggling with relationships, wanting to process trauma, or navigating major life transitions, I’m here to support you. The potential for happiness, peace and belonging is within each of us. During times of natural and unexpected life transitions and challenges, it may seem out of reach. Using the tenets of positive psychology, in conjunction with proven mental health counseling approaches, we will work together to cultivate these things in your life and construct the present and future that you envision. Intentionally building a flourishing life – one that fits with your unique strengths and values– will be an important goal of our work together, no matter your age, life circumstances or personal and family history. Areas in which I have experience are developing strategies that promote a more positive mood and lessened anxiety and worry, improving family and peer relationships, navigating life transitions, and exploring the role of spirituality, faith and religious practices in your life. My clinical approach is integrative, primarily drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and positive psychology, but always focused on the unique needs of the whole individual, mind, body, and spirit. With a Master’s degree in Pastoral Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I am qualified to integrate clinical counseling with spirituality in a way that respects all faiths and religious practices, wherever you are in your journey of faith, or even if you have no professed beliefs. I am also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I obtained a Master of Applied Positive Psychology. I also hold a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology, which provides me valuable understanding of the role of medications in promoting mental health and achieving positive well-being. Married for 37 years and the mother of two young adults, I approach counseling with an authentic, real-life perspective.

At some point, you may find yourself in need of a little extra support. Maybe someone non-judgmental to listen to you and to hear what you have to say. Perhaps you need a safe space to process something with a therapist who can help you find your own answers. If you are feeling out of control or if you are struggling with life’s challenges, seeking help is an excellent way to start the process of healing. Together, however, we can work collaboratively to identify and reach your goals to create essential changes in your life. I have over twenty years’ experience working with individuals and families in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction, illness, parenting, and much more. I am a licensed clinical social worker and have a certificate in working with military veterans and their families. I do not believe in “therapy in a can,” so your treatment is specific to you and your needs. Our approach to your journey is as diverse and individual as you. My role is to support, challenge, and guide you on your journey to reach your goals.

WARNING: HIGHLY INTERACTIVE THERAPIST! I work with clients 13+ from a wide range of genders and backgrounds. Most of my clients are dealing with some combination of anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or questions about sexuality and gender. Many are coming out of their first big break up or first major loss. I have a particular focus in “men’s” issues, relationships and couples work, and on addressing topics we were never taught to explore — namely sexuality and grief. Some of my clients are deeply religious others are atheists. Some have never dated others are active BDSMers. My style is highly interactive. We’ll work to address faulty beliefs and longstanding BS. Together, we can talk about anything from anxiety to compulsive porn use, from kink to grief. I have a particular focus in “men’s” issues, couples counseling, and grief. I won’t promise you’ll “find happiness.” That would be like trying to sell you keys to your own car. All I promise is to be your teammate. If what you seek is a combination of empathy and strength, a nonjudgmental space, an emphasis on connection over analysis, and a confidant who will not waver then I invite you to book a consultation below.
