Therapists for college students near Atlanta, GA
My pronouns are she/her/hers. I offer both individual therapy and psychological assessment. Assessment can be used to evaluate for concerns like ADHD or autism, screen for learning challenges, track changes in neurological functioning, and more. For assessment, I see clients 5 years and older. For individual therapy, I see clients age 14 and older. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and coping with life changes. I also used to work at universities and know the unique experiences and challenges college students face. For any therapist you work with, one of the most important pieces is connection. I may not be the right therapist for everyone and that is perfectly ok. Find who you mesh with and who works for you, and you will give yourself the best chance of success! I believe that therapy is only part of your journey. When we meet, I want to know not only what is upsetting you but also what your goals and hopes are for the future. My goal is to stand with you as you gain the power to reclaim the parts of your life you want to improve. If you feel a connection with me, therapy can be a place to learn more about yourself, challenge worries, process past and current strife, and more. I can be a witness, guide, support, and collaborator. We will work together to get you through this.

I am a clinical social worker who provides individual therapy for adults. As a therapist my role is to provide a non-judgmental, safe environment for individuals to explore their life issues and support them in their personal growth. I find that a lot of us struggle with listening to our inner critic and often beat ourselves up for past regrets, as well as spending a lot of valuable time worrying about the past and the "what if's" in the future. I hope we can work together to quiet this critic and find a way to enjoy the present. My experience includes working with individuals in therapy addressing relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and assertiveness skills. I also work with individuals dealing with adjustments to major life changes, including adjusting to college. I also have experience working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in practice, but may also utilize other treatment approaches as appropriate for each individual. I encourage self-care and self-nurturing activities to support therapy. Contact me today to get started on this journey together. I can also provide ESA letters if appropriate for housing needs.
You want to appear like you have it all together, but deep down you feel lost, empty, and like something is missing. You've been working on yourself for years, but you are still anxious, still people pleasing, and still asking yourself “what is wrong with me?” You feel like a chameleon and like people don’t know the real you, even worse-you don’t know the real you anymore. You’re tired of going through the motions of life without actually living it. You know it’s time to change and you’re ready to dive into your darkness to face your demons. You’re ready to do the hard work, but need a guide to show you how. And then you find me! I help introspective women struggling with anxiety and low self-esteem stop people pleasing and finally feel safe enough to be unapologetically themselves—by reconnecting with who they truly are and what they deeply want. Together we explore your inner world & make deep level changes so you can become the person you are meant to be. Clients come to me for a relaxed and comfortable counseling space, shoes are optional! In my office, clients feel safe to take up space and be seen. It’s not too late for you to change your life. You are not too far gone and you’re not too broken. You’re just a mosaic and together we can put those pieces back together so you can increase your self-esteem and be a version of you that you are proud of. I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in adolescence and young adulthood. I completed a fellowship at Mclean Hospital in Adolescent Mental Health. I was previously a psychologist at Mclean Hospital's Klarman Eating Disorders Center where I specialized in the care of individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and associated concerns. I enjoy working collaboratively with a client, couple, or family to understand how someone's struggles relate to their larger goals, hopes, and motivations and how to work to understand their experiences together and move closer to those goals. I use approaches to therapy that focus on understanding the role and functions of emotions and behaviors, understanding someone's experience in the context of relationships, and utilizing strengths and competencies in the therapy process. In addition to individual therapy, I have a passion for working with couples, families, and in relationship based therapies. I also provide parent consultation for parents supporting their child or adult child through an eating disorder. Please reach out if you have any questions and would like to schedule a complementary initial phone consultation.

Great to meet you! Hi, I’m Angela. I’ve been supporting people through life’s ups and downs for many years, and I believe that we all deserve understanding, kindness, and a space where we can explore what’s really going on for us. I work with individuals, couples, and families — including kids, teens, adults, and seniors — who are facing things like anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD challenges, stress in relationships, or family issues. No matter where you are in your journey, I’m here to help you feel heard and supported as you make healthier choices and create the life you want. A bit about my approach to therapy I bring warmth, openness, and a “we’re in this together” attitude to our work. Clients describe me as understanding, genuine, and easy to talk to — someone who laughs with you, sits with the hard moments, and doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff. We’ll talk it out, make space for the stories you bring, and work through challenges at a pace that feels right for you. My style is solution-oriented and open-minded, and you’ll always be met with respect and curiosity. What you can expect from our first session In our first session, you can expect to feel welcomed and genuinely listened to. We’ll focus on understanding what’s been pulling at you and what you hope to change. You’ll leave with a sense of clarity, some early ideas for what we might explore together, and a feeling that this is a safe space where you can show up as you are. Over time, many people find they feel more confident handling life’s stresses, stronger in their relationships, and better equipped with tools to move forward with purpose and resilience.
