I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in adolescence and young adulthood. I completed a fellowship at Mclean Hospital in Adolescent Mental Health. I was previously a psychologist at Mclean Hospital's Klarman Eating Disorders Center where I specialized in the care of individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and associated concerns. I enjoy working collaboratively with a client, couple, or family to understand how someone's struggles relate to their larger goals, hopes, and motivations and how to work to understand their experiences together and move closer to those goals. I use approaches to therapy that focus on understanding the role and functions of emotions and behaviors, understanding someone's experience in the context of relationships, and utilizing strengths and competencies in the therapy process. In addition to individual therapy, I have a passion for working with couples, families, and in relationship based therapies. I also provide parent consultation for parents supporting their child or adult child through an eating disorder. Please reach out if you have any questions and would like to schedule a complementary initial phone consultation.

Accepting new clients Hello and thank you viewing my profile! Life is complicated enough finding a therapist shouldn’t complicate that even more, so please allow me to support you on your journey. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working in private practice. My approach to therapy involves working collaboratively with those who seek my services and support with an emphasis on strengths focused and trauma informed care. No one knows you better than you, so I aim to work alongside you to overcome whatever obstacles you may face. During sessions, I aim to create a supportive space that allows you to grow while feeling safe. Currently, I mainly offer individual therapy. I utilize treatments that are tailored to the unique needs of each client I work with. The treatment modalities I incorporate are motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. If any of this appeals to you, please reach out for a consultation or to schedule an appointment. Thank you for viewing my profile and have a nice day!

College and early adulthood can be a time of incredible growth—but it can also be a time when questions about identity, purpose, relationships, independence, and the future become especially difficult to navigate. You may find yourself asking, Who am I? What do I actually want? Am I on the right path? Why do I feel so overwhelmed when everything seems like it should be going well? My approach to counseling is grounded in existential-humanistic therapy, which means I believe you are more than a diagnosis, a difficult experience, or a chapter in your past. I see therapy as a collaborative space where you can be understood as a whole person, explore what gives your life meaning, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the choices you want to make. I have extensive training and certifications in trauma and understand how past experiences can continue to influence the way we think, feel, relate to others, and see ourselves. Whether you are processing trauma or simply trying to understand patterns that no longer serve you, we can work together at a pace that feels safe and respectful. I also work with college-aged students experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, including the ways these challenges can affect academics, relationships, motivation, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and everyday life. My goal is not to tell you who you should be or what your life should look like. Instead, I want to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, work through what has been painful, and make intentional choices about the person and life you want to create. Therapy can be a place to put down the pressure to have everything figured out. You don't have to arrive with the right words or know exactly what you need. We can start where you are. You are not behind. You are becoming. And you don't have to figure it all out alone.

I enjoy helping others reach their goals using a personable, down-to-earth, and collaborative approach. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing clients succeed in reaching or exceeding their goals. My specialties include stress, anxiety, relationships, motivation, focus, and confidence/assertiveness. Holistic in scope, my approach takes into consideration the many facets of you as an individual, including one's physical health, interpersonal relationships, and spirituality (if desired). Having taught mindfulness now for over 20 years, I enjoy incorporating these skills, helping my clients to be more present and relaxed daily. I work collaboratively with clients helping them to skillfully move toward the change they are seeking and ultimately gain more personal freedom and resiliency in the face of life’s varied challenges. In addition to being a therapist, I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. This helps me to educate my clients on how diet, exercise, and lifestyle affect mental health. Do you struggle with just being yourself these days? Well, kick off your shoes, relax, put up your feet, let's get real and talk. Many people see therapy as a never ending cycle of therapists sitting with a notepad repeating, "How does that make you feel?". I can assure therapy with me is never a cliche. I know how easy it is to feel alone and always asking why me. Some days it's easy to feel trapped looking for the fastest escape. Others you want to burst into tears or moments you feel like you're making all the wrong choices. I can understand if you need a break and want to scream. I'm here to help. Let's explore those issues you may be struggling with together and take back control of your life.
