I have 20 years of experience treating adolescents and adults. As a trauma-informed therapist, I offer a safe and compassionate space where healing begins through connection. My approach is grounded in the belief that deep, lasting change happens not just through insight, but through feeling seen, felt, and understood in relationship.
I welcome you, all of you - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I welcome the part of you that wants to scream and perhaps doesn’t know how to. I welcome the part of you that is screaming and not being heard. I welcome the part of you that constantly criticizes you – whose voice is that? I welcome the many versions of you as a child – carefree? careful? I welcome the parts of you that are shining and the parts of you that are hiding. I welcome the parts of you that feel uncontrollable and the parts of you that you keep in order. I welcome the parts you want to get rid of and the parts you cling onto. Our work together is about inviting all your inner selves to the table and hearing them out – how is each part, some seemingly “bad,” trying to help you?
I have experience treating adults ages 18-80+ with depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, stress, life transitions, emotional regulation, mood disorders, trauma, insomnia, and adjustment disorders. I also enjoy working with individuals navigating challenges related to identity, cultural experiences, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships. My practice is inclusive and affirming, and I am committed to providing culturally competent care for individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community. My clinical practice includes comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, and the integration of supportive psychotherapy during medication management visits to help patients develop effective coping strategies and improve overall functioning. I'm passionate about helping people feel genuinely heard, understood, and empowered in their treatment. Meaningful progress happens when patients feel safe sharing their experiences and actively participate in decisions about their care. Building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and open communication is central to my practice. I believe that every person's experiences, values, and goals are unique, and I take the time to understand what matters most to you so we can develop a treatment plan that fits your needs. My approach is collaborative, patient-centered, and grounded in evidence-based care. I focus on meeting patients where they are and working together to strengthen resilience, autonomy, and overall mental well-being. College can feel overwhelming—you may be juggling classes, relationships, family expectations, and major life decisions all at once. You deserve support that helps you feel grounded, focused, and able to grow during this time. I take a strengths-based approach, recognizing the resilience and determination you already bring. As a parent who completed my degree while working full-time, I understand firsthand the challenges of balancing multiple roles. That experience shapes how I help students build boundaries, stay focused, and create sustainable strategies for success. I work best with students who want more than a space to vent. Together, we focus on practical tools, clearer direction, and meaningful change you can apply in daily life. I especially enjoy supporting working parents, adult learners, and first-generation college students navigating anxiety, cultural or family pressures, identity concerns, and relationship stress. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) LCSW with over 10 years of experience, I provide a supportive, structured space to help you feel more confident, connected, and empowered in college and beyond.
I tend to work best with college students and young adults who look “high-functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside. Many of the students I see are smart, reflective, and trying hard — yet struggling with anxiety, mood swings, burnout, panic, or a constant feeling of pressure to perform or hold everything together. You might feel stuck between who you were expected to be and who you’re becoming. You may overthink conversations, feel emotionally exhausted, struggle with motivation, or feel disconnected from yourself or others. Some students I work with have experienced past stress or trauma that still shows up in their body — through anxiety, sleep issues, emotional shutdown, or feeling on edge — even if “nothing bad” seems to be happening now. In therapy, we move at your pace. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal right away. My approach is supportive, curious, and collaborative — focused on helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and develop tools that actually feel usable in real life. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel less alone, and build steadiness during a demanding and uncertain chapter of life. I will be getting credentialed with additional insurances and accepting private pay-please feel free to check back or reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Hello! I am Dr. Amy Lee, I am a licensed clinical psychologist, a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA®), a member of the prestigious National Register of Health Service Psychologists organization, and a certified perinatal mental health expert. I have approximately 10 years working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Generally, my patients view me as someone who is transparent, humorous, and flexible in therapy. My "typical" patients tend to have difficulties regulating their emotions/impulses, tolerating stressful situations, and feeling overwhelmed and guilty about almost "everything." I have success with patients who have depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, work-related problems, family conflict, a history of trauma, relationship challenges, and social skills deficits. Please visit my website to get a feel of what I am like as a psychologist. I also provide one free 15-minute consultation to ensure that I can help you meet your goals, determine if we are a good fit, and answer any questions you may have about therapy.

Together we will work creatively to explore your life, identify ways to overcome your challenges, and connect with your strengths and resilience.
I believe everyone has the inner capacity to heal, which guides my work. Using an eclectic, mind–body approach—including somatic therapy, CBT, DBT, and solution-focused techniques—I tailor treatment to each client’s needs.
I work with neurodivergent adults experiencing burnout from overfunctioning and masking. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a degree in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University, in Boulder, Colorado. Mindfulness informs all aspects of my work, including my emphasis on creating a space of compassion and curiosity in which we can explore, experiment, and journey together. You can't do anything "wrong" in therapy; everything that happens can be mined for wisdom. I have primarily worked with people to address issues related to anxiety, depression, self-concept, and life transitions. I see therapy sessions as a balance between processing and skill-building, in which there is enough open space to explore and also enough direction to come away with concrete action steps to create the desired change. In addition to mindfulness, I have training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I frequently guide my clients in getting to know and work with "parts" of themselves. I bring a trauma-informed approach to all sessions, in which safety, empowerment, and self-compassion are held paramount. For trauma-specific work, I utilize my training in EMDR therapy to provide targeted interventions designed to desensitize and reprocess traumatic experiences in the brain. Above all else, I hold a steadfast hope for the ability of each and every person to heal and grow. It is truly an honor and privilege to join my clients in that journey.
