Biography: Hello! Thank you for visiting my Teladoc profile. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York with over 20 years of experience in mental health. I graduated with a Doctorate of Social Work from Capella University, a Masters of Social Work from Marywood University, and undergraduate degree from State University of NY -Suny Empire. I specialize in working with teens and adults coping with life stressors related to personal relationships, life changes, work-related issues, stress/anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma. I have diverse experience from a variety of treatment settings. I have worked as a school-based social worker in both a school-based mental health center and as a social work consultant, worked with soldiers and their families on military installations, and worked in outpatient mental health clinics. I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Each person has a unique perspective and set of core beliefs around their experience of life. Through exploration of these perspectives and beliefs one can connect to the truth within themselves in the present moment, become free from self-generated suffering, and gain insight, clarity and choice in their behavior. Modalities utilized in therapy include Cognitive Processing therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry, Act therapy, and Positive Psychology. I believe that each person entering therapy is seeking to find the answers for their lives that will enhance their ability to have the best life possible. Life happens and then each of us need to figure it out. Sometimes we need someone to come along side on our journey to help us find our best way forward. Remember, life is a journey, not a destination. I look forward to working with you!
Do you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or big life changes? Many students come to me feeling stuck, pressured to have everything figured out, or caught between growing independence and complicated family or social dynamics. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself. I’m Kaylie, a Licensed Master Social Worker, and I help people manage anxiety, depression, identity concerns, and everyday stress that starts to feel like “too much.” I focus on getting to know you—what you care about, what feels hard, and what you want to change. Together, we’ll use practical tools and strategies (like problem-solving skills, coping techniques, and supportive conversations) to help you feel more grounded and confident. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and never judged. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. You don’t need to have the perfect words or a clear plan. You just need a place to start. If you’re ready, I’m here to support you.
Hi, I am a LMHC and I graduated with my master’s degree from WCSU and I am also a certified personal trainer. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults from the ages 14 and up. I also like working with mothers and daughters whom have a strained relationship or just need some help with building their relationship back up. I specialize with issues like anxiety, depression, self-esteem:etc. I always knew I wanted to help other people from a young age. As a kid and teenager I struggled with shyness, self-esteem issues and depression. A lot of the time I felt like I was alone and felt like I was not heard. Since then my goal in life was to help others feel like they are not alone and they are heard no matter the issue. I also believe in treating the whole person. The body and mind are connected, therefore both should be treated. On top of being a therapist, I am also a personal trainer for the last 6 years. I use many different approaches including DBT, CBT, mindfulness techniques, art therapy and psychodynamic. I think every individual is unique, therefore there isn’t just a “one size fits all” approach. I like to speak to each client for a few minutes via phone to make sure that I am the right fit for them. Then I move on to scheduling the first session which consists of me asking questions and getting to know my client and their goals for treatment. I like to take a collaborative approach and allow my client to be the leader in what works and what doesn’t work for them in treatment. I want to help anyone who is willing to put in the work in and out of session. I like to have my clients set small goals in between sessions and review them the following session as a way of assisting in their healing process. I was taught to be kind because you never know what someone else is going through. This value has allowed me to be more empathetic and it allowed me to always be curious. From a young child I was always interested in different cultures. I make sure to take time to look at everyone’s perspectives and check my own judgements. I am constantly learning about different cultures to make sure others feel comfortable and welcomed when they come see me for therapy.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about working with people — listening to their stories, understanding their experiences, and helping them find their way through life’s challenges. Becoming a therapist has always been my calling, and it’s truly an honor to walk alongside my clients as they navigate both the struggles and joys of life. My practice offers a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe that the relationship between a therapist and a client is one of the most powerful tools for healing and growth. Building a genuine, trusting connection is at the heart of my approach. and together we’ll explore your experiences, identify patterns, and work toward meaningful change in your life. I work with individuals, couples, and families in both short- and long-term therapy. I am here to support you and help navigate: relationship issues, parenting challenges, or life transitions, anxiety, depression, OCD, and feelings of just being stuck. Additionally, I specialize in marriage and couples counseling to help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen their emotional bonds. Reaching out for support takes courage. I will meet you with compassion and understanding- you don’t have to face life's challenges alone. We'll work together to help you find balance, clarity, and connection in your life and connection in your life and relationships. If balancing academic/work pressure and your personal life is leaving you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or burned out, I am here to help. Many clients I work with enter therapy feeling stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or pushing themselves at the expense of their well-being.
